We are happy to share today some fantastic news about our LITC crew:
LITC co-founder, Elizabeth Carlen, passed her dissertation defense today on urban evolution in pigeons! And one of our top contributors (and my academic sibling), Kevin Avilés-Rodríguez, also passed his dissertation defense this past friday on the interacting effects of hurricanes and urbanization in Anolis lizards!
Congrats to Dr. Carlen and Dr. Avilés-Rodríguez!!!
Also HUGE congratulations are in order for two of our undergraduate contributors, Cleo Falvey and Cesar Estein, who both were awarded NSF GRFP grants to fund their PhD research! Cleo is headed to Rutgers University to work with Anthony Geneva, and Cesar to UC Berkeley to work with Chris Schell. Congrats to both, we can’t wait to see what amazing things you do (and look forward to reading all about it here!)
Congrats to Cleo and Cesar!!!
