Today we are excited to launch a new section of the site on urban eco-evo literature! You’ll notice that along with this post today a handful of other “new literature alert” posts also were published. Instead of just tweeting the cool urban ecology and evolution papers we hear about, we will post the abstract and a paper link here so you can stay on top of the literature with us! What’s even cooler, is that if you miss a new literature alert you can find them all for the year, as well as new research write-ups, in our new page New Urban Eco-Evo Literature!.
Of course, we still will write up longer posts about literature as much as we are able, but we’ve hit a point where we just can’t keep up with all of the great literature coming out these days! If we miss a paper that you think should be featured as a new literature post, email us or if you are a contributor go ahead and write up a new literature abstract post.
Coming soon we will also have a section on foundational papers and texts in urban ecology and evolution, and (eventually) educational resources. We’ve got a shortlist for our literature page, but we want to hear from you! What are your favorite foundational papers? What urbanization text books have you found most useful in shaping your research ideas? Any popular literature books on urban ecology or evolution? Anyone who shares their suggestions by tweet or comment I will mail a Life in the City sticker!
