Marsupial

Marsupialia is an Order within the Class Mammalia that births underdeveloped young that subsequently reside in a pouch on the mother’s belly for a certain amount of time. The majority of marsupials are endemic to Australia (ex. Kangaroos, Koalas) and New Guinea (ex. Tree Kangaroos), although a couple of marsupial species are native to the Americas (ex. Opossums).
