Check out these dueling kangaroos in a park in Australia’s Gold Coast region!
New Yorkers are used to seeing squirrels and rats roam around, but Australian residents sometimes encounter much larger mammal species in their cities. There are four species of kangaroos that occupy different ranges across the Australian continent. The Red Kangaroo, Macropus rufus, is the largest and most widespread species; however, the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, M. giganteus, and Western Grey Kangaroo, M. fuliginosus, can often be seen in urban spaces. These dueling individuals are likely Eastern Greys because they were spotted along the eastern coast of Australia.
Quick dash to the park before the sun disappeared and greeted by Roos having a spar in the stunning golden light 🤩🔥. Fur and dust flying everywhere. #wildoz #urbanwildlife #kangaroo #goldcoast pic.twitter.com/jJ2roaA0L0
